e-CFund is a suite of integrated online modules, developed specifically for United Way organizations to support the complete Community Investment process. All information fundamental to agencies, programs, citizen review volunteers, outcomes measurement, allocations, community impact tracking and data analysis is organized using a well-defined repository structure.
e-CFund’s Collaborator functionality provides organizations a way to share specific data with other entities in their community. The managing organization can configure investment processes for a collaborator. The collaborator can be granted access to their own individual investment process, which exists as a subset of the managing organization. This functionality helps promote the managing organization as a leader in the community.

Community Impact Agenda: Track and manage your community’s needs, measure results and report progress. Configure geographic areas, store research items by data source, track community stakeholders and factors in the community which are making an impact.
Impact Area Management: Manage your impact area plan and results in one place. Track and manage your impact area outcomes, indicators, strategies and actions, community stakeholders and factors.
Manage Multiple Investment and Grants Processes: Customize many different investment processes, customize forms by process, including but not limited to, agency application overview, budget, demographics information and a variety of narratives. All forms are customizable to fit an organization’s particular business needs and practices. Manage multi-year processes, agency and/or program funding, outcome funding, and periodic reporting.
Collaborators: Configure separate investment processes for collaborating entities. Grant administrative access to collaborators, restricting their permissions so they only have access to their own subsets of data, such as their own agencies, volunteers, events, website content, news items and resource center items, promoting the managing organization as a community leader.
Agency and Volunteer Event Management: Manage meetings and events, invite specific agencies and volunteers, track RSVP’s and attendance. Choose to add events to agency and volunteer website calendars.
Multi-year Investments and Allocations: Manage unlimited processes with different sets of business rules, multi-year, LIFO / FIFO, multiple evaluations, allocations, agency funding, and program/outcome funding.
Forms Builder: Design custom forms for gathering agency, program outcome and volunteer evaluation information. Customize the forms submission process to utilize automatic emails to agencies, volunteers and organizational staff, require electronic signatures and customize instructions before and after the submission process.
Agency Compliance: Customize compliance requirements and provide a storehouse for agencies to upload compliance documents and grant permissions for volunteers to view these documents for their assigned agencies/programs.
Customizable Website Content: Configure your agency and volunteer websites to carry forward your organization’s branding with links from your own website to login screens that display your customized banner. Post news items highlighted with pictures, custom formatting, multi-type file attachment and links to other websites. Configure the Resource Center, a virtual library of information for your agencies and volunteers. Upload spreadsheets, documents, links to other websites and associate pieces of your Resource Center to specific agencies, groups of agencies, volunteers, and specific volunteer councils.
Data Analysis: One of the many benefits with e-CFund is the power of analysis. Throughout the entire community investment process e-CFund receives an enormous amount of valuable data. Historically this data was re-input into multiple databases and reports were thrown together by running totals on spreadsheets and last minute numbers were extracted from a filing cabinet. e-CFund stores ALL of this data in one convenient database and provides the United Way with a powerful analysis tool.
- Standard report templates are available and data can be filtered and displayed on these reports. The same reports can then be viewed in a variety of formats and easily dropped into a spreadsheet.
- Exports of all data can easily be created by the administrative user through an easy to use wizard.
