Seabrooks Announces New Project

7/14/2009

PRESS RELEASE: Milwaukee, WI - At the 2009 e-CIMPACT User's Group meeting, Patti Brooks, President of Seabrooks, Inc. announced that Seabrooks would begin development work on a new measurement tool that will enable organizations to measure progress over time in the community as a whole; across agencies and programs. The resulting data will be invaluable in identifying promising practices while enhancing the community's ability to address emerging issues.

United Way of Greater Milwaukee has developed the framework and conducted pilot programs to identify, measure, and analyze community outcomes and indicators. The new tool will be based on United Way of Greater Milwaukee's pilot program that collects client measurement data in the same way across programs and enables all organizations / agencies to administer the surveys in the same way.

Seabrooks will partner with RedRiver Systems to develop the Client Sampling Measurement Tool and expects to release the first version in early 2010. United Way of Greater Milwaukee will head up the e-CIMPACT Client Sampling Measurement Tool's Focus Group that will provide Seabrooks and RedRiver Systems with guidance and feedback during and post development.

For more information on the Client Sampling Measurement Tool Project, contact Patti Brooks at 808.335.3200 or Dawn Helmrich, Associate Director of Community Impact, UWGM at dhelmrich@unitedwaymilwaukee.org or 414.263.8166.

"True Partnership: United Way of Greater Milwaukee has been working with e-CImpact developed and supported by a software company called Seabrooks for over 4 years. During that time Seabrooks has been a true partner. After the first year of UWGM's Community Outcomes Project it was recognized by staff that a new tool would be required to help us collect, analyze and report on data. We turned to Seabrooks for help. Through many conversations it was determined that Seabrooks would be able to support our project. The economy hit and we were unable to pay for it. Seabrooks announced at their National Conference in June 2009 that they saw United Way of Greater Milwaukee's vision and were going to move forward with the enhancement in-kind. Seabrooks will partner with RedRiver Systems to develop this new tool. Seabrooks, RedRiver Systems and United Way of Greater Milwaukee will work together over the next year to put the Client Measurement Sampling Tool into action. When people work together anything is possible!"
