Seabrooks Welcomes New Program Implementation Manager

May 4, 2017

Seabrooks is excited to welcome the newest member of the Seabrooks team, Chris Block.

Chris will work closely with United Ways getting started in e-CImpact to help them create a user-friendly, efficient and effective Community Impact Management System.

Chris previously served as the Community Impact Coordinator at Missouri Slope Areawide United Way, and interned with Heart of Florida United Way. In these roles, Chris managed the investment of $3.9 million through 3 RFP processes, worked with funded partners to track their impact, and provided backbone support to a local collaboration focused on improving education outcomes for low-income youth.

Here’s what Chris had to say –

1. How did your experience with United Way help prepare you for this new role?
My experience helps me better understand what Seabrooks’ customers are looking for and what types of services they need, because I’ve been there myself. I believe this context will help me better support them in achieving their goals.

2. What are you most excited about doing in the position?
Obviously performance tracking and data collection are a critical part of how our customers, like United Way, accomplish their mission. I’m excited to help them take advantage of these tools in e-CImpact so they can continue their great work.

3. What interests do you have outside of work?
My wife and I love traveling and spending time outdoors. On many weekends I can be found camping, hiking, or visiting parks. I’m also an avid saltwater aquarium enthusiast.

Chris also holds a Master’s Degree in Community and International Development (concentration in Nonprofit Management & Operations) from Andrews University.
